Think You Can Beat My Biomarks Health Score?
By Marc Phillips
I’ve been thinking about how we can make people more interested and engaged in their health.
We already compare step counts, running times, golf handicaps and fitness achievements with friends. A little friendly competition can motivate us to do things we might otherwise put off.
So why not do something similar with our broader health?
That’s an idea we’re exploring at Biomarks.ai, and I’ve decided to go first. I’ve created my own public Biomarks Health Profile, completed a range of our health and wellness tests and published my scores.
Now I’m challenging my friends, family, colleagues and LinkedIn network to see if they can beat me.

Here’s My Health Profile
My Biomarks Health Profile currently has an Overall Wellness Score of 71/100, with individual scores including 95 for Lung Health, 90 for Vision, 88 for Biological Age, 85 for Hearing, 82 for Muscle & Strength and 78 for Cognitive performance.
Some I’m pretty happy with. Others give me something to work on.
Choose one of my scores and take the same test. Maybe you can beat my Cognitive score of 78 or Vision score of 90. If you’re particularly confident, have a go at my 95 for Lung Health.

Once you’ve finished, create your own Biomarks Health Profile and send me your profile or share your score with me on LinkedIn.
Making Health More Social
There’s a serious idea behind the challenge.
Most of us become particularly interested in our health when something goes wrong. Biomarks.ai is trying to make preventative health something people engage with before that happens.
You can complete digital assessments covering areas such as cognition, hearing, vision, lung health, muscle and strength, biological age, weight health and other aspects of wellbeing.
Your results contribute to your Health Profile, allowing you to build a broader picture of different aspects of your health over time.
Importantly, you decide what you share. Your public profile can showcase the health and wellness scores you’re comfortable making visible without publishing your underlying private health information.
The Real Competition Is With Yourself
Competing with friends makes health more fun, but there’s another reason I like this concept.
Your health changes over time.
You can return to Biomarks.ai, complete assessments again and see whether your results have changed. Instead of only asking whether you can beat my score, you can start asking whether you can beat your own previous score.
That’s where gamification can potentially become a powerful tool for preventative health—encouraging us to measure, participate and improve.
Take My Challenge
So here’s my invitation.
View my Health Profile, choose a score you think you can beat and take the test.
Then build your own profile and send it to me. If you beat me, I want to know about it.
And once you’ve done that, challenge somebody else.
