How We Use AI
Making Health Information Easier to Understand
Health information can be complicated. A single person may have pathology results, medical reports, assessment responses, wearable information, health questionnaires and other health data generated over many years.
Biomarks.ai uses artificial intelligence to help turn that information into health intelligence that is easier for individuals and healthcare practitioners to understand and use.
Understanding Health Information
AI can help Biomarks analyze information provided through the platform and identify potentially useful patterns, relationships and changes. This can help transform large amounts of information into more understandable summaries and insights.
Analyzing Assessments
Biomarks enables clinicians to create and distribute health assessments. AI can assist in evaluating responses, summarizing information and identifying responses that may deserve closer attention. The clinician remains responsible for determining the clinical significance of that information.
Understanding Pathology and Medical Information
Where supported, Biomarks can use AI to help explain pathology results, medical reports and other health information in clearer language. The objective is to make complex information more understandable, not to replace the healthcare professional responsible for diagnosis or treatment.
Building a Longitudinal Health Picture
One of AI’s most valuable potential applications is connecting information across time. Rather than viewing each assessment, test or health report in isolation, Biomarks aims to help individuals and clinicians understand how health indicators change and relate to one another over time.
AI-Generated Information Is Not Always Correct
AI can make mistakes. It can misunderstand context, incorrectly interpret information or generate incomplete outputs. Users should not assume that information is correct simply because it was generated by artificial intelligence.
AI Does Not Replace Healthcare Professionals
Biomarks AI is intended to augment human understanding. It does not replace a qualified healthcare professional, and important healthcare decisions should not be based solely on an AI-generated Biomarks output.
Does Biomarks Use My Health Data to Train AI?
This is an area where we believe transparency is essential.
Biomarks will clearly explain whether and under what circumstances information processed through the platform may be used to improve Biomarks’ AI systems. We will not make claims about AI training practices that depend on third-party AI providers until those arrangements and contractual protections have been verified.
Where de-identified or aggregated information is used for product improvement, Biomarks will seek to apply appropriate privacy protections and comply with applicable legal requirements.
Third-Party AI Providers
Like many technology companies, Biomarks may use specialist technology providers to support certain AI functionality. Where a third-party provider processes information on behalf of Biomarks, we intend to consider the sensitivity of the information, contractual protections, security arrangements, data retention and whether information can be used by that provider for unrelated purposes.
Responsible AI Is an Ongoing Commitment
Artificial intelligence will continue to evolve rapidly. So will Biomarks. We intend to continually review how AI is used throughout the platform as technology, healthcare evidence, regulation and user expectations develop.
Our goal is simple: use AI to make health information more useful while keeping people, privacy and professional judgment at the center.
