Trust & Safety

Health Intelligence Requires Trust

Biomarks.ai brings health assessments, pathology results, medical reports, patient-generated health information and AI-powered health intelligence together in one platform.

Health information is deeply personal. Protecting it is fundamental to how Biomarks is being built. Our approach to Trust & Safety is based around four principles: protecting health information, giving individuals appropriate control over their data, developing AI responsibly, and being transparent about what our technology can and cannot do.

As an early-stage health technology company, we are building these principles into Biomarks from the beginning and will continue strengthening our security, privacy and governance frameworks as the platform grows.

Your Health Data. Your Privacy. Your Control.

Biomarks is designed to put individuals at the center of their health information. Individuals can build a longitudinal Health Profile using assessments, pathology results, medical reports, wearable information and other health data.

Where Biomarks is used by healthcare practitioners, information can be shared according to the permissions and functionality available within the platform. Where Biomarks is used within workforce health programs, employers are not intended to receive access to individual employee health records. Organizational insights are designed to use aggregated or appropriately de-identified information where applicable.

Secure by Design

We recognize that health information requires a high level of protection.

Biomarks is developing technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information processed through the platform. Our security practices will continue to evolve as the company, technology and regulatory environment develop.

AI with Guardrails

Artificial intelligence can make complex health information easier to understand, help analyze assessments and identify patterns across health information. It also has limitations. Biomarks AI is designed to support health understanding and clinical workflows, not replace qualified healthcare professionals.

Transparent by Default

We believe people should understand how their health information is being used. That includes explaining what information Biomarks processes, why we process it, where AI is involved, what AI-generated insights mean and what choices individuals have regarding their information.

Built for Healthcare

Healthcare technology requires more than good software. Biomarks is developing privacy, security and governance practices appropriate for sensitive health information and the clinicians, patients, individuals, aged care providers and organizations that may use our platform.

Our Commitment

Biomarks is at the beginning of its journey.

As we grow, our Trust & Safety program will grow with us. We intend to continually review our security controls, privacy practices, AI governance and clinical safeguards against evolving regulatory requirements, industry standards and the needs of healthcare professionals and individuals.

Trust isn’t something we intend to add later. We’re building around it from day one.
